Welcome

April 16 2012

Dear Parents and/or Guardians,

Hello! My name is Kelly Holden and I am your child’s new preschool teacher at the Gunningsville Preschool Program.  I am very excited about this opportunity and finishing off the school year with your child.

My educational background includes the completion my Early Childhood Education diploma from Algonquin College in Ottawa. After completing my ECE, I attended and finished my Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Child Studies from Carleton University. I then proceeded to attend SUNY Potsdam University in New York State to complete my K-6 teaching certification. Some of my work experience includes working with various age groups in day care and private settings. For the past two school years, before moving to Riverview, I taught grade 4-immersion for the Ottawa Catholic School Board.

On a personal level, I am a newlywed and have just purchased a home in central Riverview. My husband and I spend a lot of time with his family and our two dogs, Cooper and Athena.

I am looking forward to getting to know your child and working directly with them in the classroom to facilitate their exploration, discovery and learning.  If you have any questions, concerns or if you child is to be absent from the program, please feel free to contact me.  My e-mail is Kelly.Angus1@gmail.com and my cell phone number is (506) 232 4326.

I look forward to getting to know you and your child.

Sincerely,
Kelly Holden
